This DIN Class 300 forged blind-flange enquiry requires material reconciliation: the title states Carbon Steel, while the sole actual variant lists Stainless Steel. The 160 MM size label and Blind Flange option identify the request without completing its material or dimensional specification. Confirm the selected item before ordering.
Verify the closure item and its material certificate
Request written identification for the actual variant, with its exact material specification, edition and traceability. Do not choose between the conflicting materials from colour or finish. The reviewed gallery examples have open centres, so obtain a photograph and section drawing of the intended blind closure. Those gallery forms should not silently replace the actual Blind Flange option or establish what will be supplied.
Give the size label and both bolt fields separate meanings
Ask whether 160 MM denotes nominal pipe size, outside diameter or another measurement. Record the closure's actual outside diameter, thickness, facing and gasket contact details. The table repeats 11-42 for both Bolt Hole Diameter and Bolt Hole Quantity; that does not provide a selected hole diameter and count. Confirm each value, units, bolt circle and spacing on the inspected drawing, then match them to the mating flange and bolting. A single size label cannot establish an available range or complete compatibility.
Document the DIN and Class 300 acceptance basis
Obtain the exact numbered standard, edition and class designation rather than substituting an unstated standard. Class 300 needs a documented material-temperature basis and does not supply a fixed allowable pressure. Verify Forged with production evidence and specify the required sealing-face and surface condition beyond Other. Pipe Lines Connect does not qualify closure duty. Provide actual fluid, corrosion, pressure, temperature and mechanical loads for assessment of the confirmed closure, mating flange, gasket and bolting before acceptance.
