This A182 F321 stainless steel long weld neck flange enquiry concerns a polished component for industrial equipment. The title supplies the grade and extended-neck context, while the stainless steel Weld Neck option remains a generic selection. Confirm the actual drawing and material documentation before ordering.
Specify the F321 extended-neck configuration
Request neck projection, nominal size, bore, wall thickness, flange thickness, outside diameter, facing and weld preparation. A generic Weld Neck choice does not define the required long-neck length. Identify the equipment connection and available installation space so the proposed geometry can be reviewed.
The catalogue also offers alloy steel, aluminum and carbon steel, alongside eight other flange types. These are separate alternatives. Its half-inch-to-120-inch range does not select an individual size or establish ASME B16.5 coverage for every combination. Confirm the governing edition and applicable size, construction, facing and class.
Allocate the four-hole drilling and polished finish
The original table lists a half-inch bolt hole diameter and four holes. Obtain the selected drilling drawing and bolt-circle dimensions; those entries are neither a nominal bore size nor universal drilling for the whole range. Match the mating flange, gasket and bolting explicitly.
Ask for certificates supporting the full A182 F321 designation, heat traceability, condition and forged manufacture. The generic stainless steel label does not certify that grade. Agree polishing acceptance and inspection requirements without treating surface appearance as proof of material identity or corrosion suitability.
Approve the long-neck equipment connection
Provide actual medium, pressure, temperature, cycling, corrosion conditions and mechanical loads. No numerical pressure class is recorded. Obtain approval for the selected assembly, then agree welding, alignment, inspection, marking, dimensional/material records and quotation scope.
