This ASME B16.5 flange enquiry combines an A105 carbon steel requirement with RF, class 300 and weld-neck conditions to be confirmed for the selected part. Define the neck-to-pipe connection and the bolted face together. Both interfaces need a drawing that corresponds to the same material, size and pressure designation.

Start with the weld-neck pipe interface

Provide the adjoining pipe's nominal designation, outside diameter and wall thickness. Request the flange neck geometry, bore and pipe-end preparation needed by the joining procedure. Confirm the actual weld-neck form rather than relying on a general flange image. An open or threaded bore in a photograph does not establish the neck dimensions and end preparation of the component being considered.

Complete the RF bolted-joint specification

State the required ASME B16.5 edition and class 300 designation. Obtain the raised-face dimensions, flange thickness, outside diameter and complete bolt pattern for the chosen size. Compare the flange face with the mating flange and the intended gasket and fasteners. Keep the neck and facing dimensions on one selected-part drawing so that pipe attachment and bolted compatibility can be evaluated without mixing configurations.

Confirm A105 and the class operating scope

Request material confirmation for the intended A105 Carbon Steel flange and define the required construction. A Stainless Steel choice needs a separate grade specification. Include the medium, design pressure and temperature when asking for the selected configuration's pressure-temperature documentation. The title's class designation alone does not establish service suitability. Before accepting the flange, verify that the neck drawing, RF joint, material records and rating scope all refer to the same proposed component and meet the project requirements.
