This pipe flange page supports a six-inch DN150 slip-on enquiry with a specified B16.5 requirement. Begin by confirming the exact material and flange form for the configuration being considered. A stainless material requirement needs explicit grade confirmation before dimensions, joining details or service suitability can be accepted for the selected fitting.
Confirm material before narrowing the configuration
State the required material standard and grade clearly in the enquiry. Ask for confirmation that the selected flange meets that specification rather than identifying material from surface appearance. If the project needs stainless steel, name the exact stainless requirement and obtain confirmation for the same flange. The material decision should precede any assumption about corrosion behaviour, joining compatibility or service rating.
Check the slip-on form against actual pipe dimensions
Provide the nominal pipe size, actual outside diameter and wall thickness, together with the required flange bore and installation dimensions. Ask for a drawing confirming the selected slip-on form and the pipe-side joining arrangement. Clarify how the selected metric size relates to the six-inch DN150 request. A general flange photograph may show another form and cannot establish the required configuration.
Complete the mating and qualification details
Identify the governing B16.5 edition, facing, mating flange, bolt pattern and gasket dimensions. Define the required joining preparation and any dimensional tolerances. Include the service medium, design pressure and temperature when requesting suitability confirmation. A generic pressure-class or resistance label does not replace exact material and construction evidence. Review the selected and mating drawings together with the material specification and pressure-temperature documentation before choosing the flange for the intended pipe joint.
