This ASME B16.9 WPB carbon steel reducing-tee enquiry includes seamless, forged and butt-welding requirements. Confirm the actual component before applying those requirements: available variants also include elbows, caps, couplings, crosses, flanges and nipples alongside tees.
Establish the tee branch arrangement first
Obtain a selected three-port drawing identifying equal or reducing construction. For reduction, specify run-by-run-by-branch nominal designations, outside diameters and wall transitions. For an equal tee, verify matching nominal ends. Gallery examples can guide the enquiry but cannot qualify supplied branch dimensions or wall thickness.
The model range, separate apostrophe-based size notation and five millimetre labels need unit-confirmed mapping. Do not treat them as interchangeable dimensions. Overall Length 4 in, a unitless height and the mounting-hole entry cannot define all seven fitting types.
WPB specification, actual ends and production route
Choose the exact material specification and grade with traceable certification. WPB is an enquiry reference; no numbered material document is supplied here. Stainless steel, alloy and carbon steel are separate actual alternatives. Black appearance does not establish alloy, coating system or corrosion performance.
Confirm whether actual ends are welded or threaded. Butt-welding supply needs bevel, preparation and wall matching, while NPT supply needs the full designation, gender and engagement requirements. Obtain manufacturing records before accepting seamless, forged or cast production. Select STD, XS, SCH40 or SCH80 only with the chosen nominal size and measured wall.
B16.9 dimensions and Class 125 duty
Verify the selected B16.9 edition and dimensional acceptance; unnumbered ANSI, JIS, DIN and ASME references do not add equivalence. Class 125 and Low Pressure provide no fixed working limit. Assess actual material, wall, temperature, medium and design requirements. Painting needs coating details and Flexible does not qualify movement capacity. Send selected type, grade, port/end drawing, actual route and operating duty with the material and dimensional inspection requirements.
