This steel pipe listing references high-chromium stainless material, seamless construction and high-temperature oxidation resistance. The table includes Non-Alloy, generic stainless steel and ERW. Establish the actual supplied grade and condition before assigning oxidation or thermal performance to the pipe represented by these descriptions.
Verify chromium material and actual manufacturing route
Request the specification, grade, chemistry, condition and traceable material inspection records for the order. Generic stainless wording does not identify the high-chromium grade, and the Non-Alloy classification needs clarification. Confirm seamless or ERW construction with manufacturing documentation before assessing requirements that depend on the production route.
The original photograph shows bundled round pipes with red surfaces and protected ends. It cannot establish chromium content, surface treatment or oxidation behaviour. Confirm actual Cold Rolled finish, Non-oiled supply and any additional treatment through records; surface colour is not evidence of heat resistance or a defined coating system.
Specify geometry for the thermal installation
Choose an actual wall within the 6–20 mm range and identify the required 12 m or 6 m length selection. Define outside diameter, bore, length, straightness, roundness and end requirements on the installation drawing. The 219–1066 mm diameter entry must be matched to the selected component.
Agree the dimensional scope and measurement basis for ±1%. Define the end preparation and joint arrangement, including the required surface condition and preservation. Verify actual fit and material condition against the drawing rather than inferring thermal capability, wall thickness or end accuracy from the pipe photograph.
Set oxidation conditions and evidence for acceptance
Provide the actual atmosphere or medium, contaminants, pressure, temperature, exposure duration, thermal cycles, gradients and loads. Identify the governing specification and edition, and agree required material, dimensional, surface, end and thermal project tests. Use explicit criteria and traceable reports. Title wording and general API or ISO 9001 labels establish no numerical oxidation rate, allowable temperature or service-life guarantee.
