This carbon steel elbow enquiry requests a 6-inch butt-weld component with SCH 80, long-radius and 90-degree wording. Accept the wall and radius requirements together on the selected drawing before approving the joint.
Confirm wall thickness alongside the bend radius
Specify exact ordered size, nominal or outside-diameter basis, measured angle and radius, center-to-end dimensions, end diameters, bores, wall thicknesses and tolerances. The sole actual Elbow / 1/2-inch to 12-inch / Carbon Steel selection remains one range. Title size, schedule, angle and radius do not create independent variants or prove inventory.
Repeated ranges under length, height and mounting-hole diameter are not actual measurements. Bend and Hexagon wording does not complete the drawing. Reference photographs include 316, SCH40 and 1.5D markings on example bodies; those marks do not certify the actual carbon steel SCH 80 requirement, delivered grade or measured radius.
Accept the delivered ends and selected compliance basis
Butt-weld acceptance needs selected bevel and root-face preparation, compatible pipe wall, procedure and inspection. Any threaded requirement needs its own size, form, engagement and mating acceptance. Confirm the actual delivered ends rather than assuming a certified combined arrangement.
Agree the ANSI B16.9 document designation, edition and applicable scope with compliance evidence. Carbon Steel does not identify an exact grade. Request the selected product specification, heat-traceable material certificate and production inspections. A forged requirement needs actual body manufacturing evidence independent of joining method.
Specify the finish for the intended medium
Red paint or bright appearance does not identify coating chemistry. Accept preparation, composition, coverage, thickness and relevant weld-end treatment for the exposure. Smooth or corrosion-resistant wording alone supplies no fluid-specific resistance approval.
Provide actual medium composition, temperature, pressure and cycling; Low Pressure and Not Rated do not establish a numerical operating envelope. Send the accepted drawing for size, wall, radius and angle with actual ends, standard, material and production evidence and finish criteria. Qualification must cover the selected elbow, mating pipe and complete installed joint.
