A pipe tee enquiry with B16.9, A234 WPB and SCH40 requirements should connect those references to a selected three-port fitting. Confirm the branch arrangement and dimensional specification before evaluating material or conformity records. The useful evidence is a drawing and supporting documentation that describe the same proposed tee.
Resolve the Branch Arrangement and Size Mapping
State whether the branch should match the run size or reduce to another size, then specify both run connections and the branch. Give the nominal sizes, mating pipe outside diameters and wall requirements for all three interfaces. Where the project calls for a 32 mm fitting, clarify the size convention and obtain a selected-model dimensional map. A half-inch model label or broad size range does not resolve the complete tee configuration.
Document WPB Material and SCH40 Construction
Identify the exact material specification and WPB requirement and request traceable records for the quoted tee. Define the schedule convention and obtain the actual wall mapping for each connection. Specify the manufacturing route, including seamless construction if required, and obtain production evidence. Identify the required butt-weld preparation and applicable B16.9 edition, with the dimensional and conformity records needed by the project.
Confirm Design and Certification Evidence
Provide the fluid, operating pressure and temperature together with joint and fabrication requirements. Ask for the documented design basis covering the selected material, geometry and completed joints. Any required certification should identify the scheme, scope and supporting record; an abbreviation alone does not establish certification. Complete the enquiry with the approved branch drawing, size and wall mapping, material and production records, conformity scope and qualified service limits.
