This polished steel flange listing is directed toward industrial boiler systems. Its title uses Casting, High Temperature and Heat Resistant wording, while the selectable range includes several materials and flange types. Establish the actual component and material requirements before treating those general terms as a boiler service specification.
Define the steel and production requirements
Specify the required steel grade, condition and traceability, together with the applicable casting requirements and inspection records. The material choices include Alloy Steel, Carbon Steel and Stainless Steel, but do not identify specific grades. Aluminum is also selectable and should not be treated as part of the steel designation.
Casting in the title is not a supplied production certificate. Confirm the manufacturing route for the ordered component and the examinations required by its purchase specification. Agree what Polished means for the relevant surfaces, including any measurable finish criteria and inspection method the equipment design requires.
Check the selected flange drawing
Choose the actual flange type and obtain its drawing with the numbered standard and edition where applicable. Review nominal size, thickness, facing, bore and the complete bolt pattern, along with details specific to the intended connection. The nine flange types are separate configurations requiring their own assessment.
The table lists four half-inch bolt holes. Verify this drilling against the mating component instead of applying it throughout the shared 1/2–120 inch range. Confirm the required combination is available and that its dimensions and inspection requirements match the boiler or piping documentation.
Establish the boiler operating envelope
Provide the fluid or steam conditions, operating pressure, temperature, cycles and loads for review. Heat Resistant wording supplies no numerical temperature limit or allowable pressure-temperature rating. Assess the actual material and joint under the equipment requirements, then agree material and dimensional records, marking, preservation, quantity and delivery timing.
