This ANSI/ASME B16.5 A182 F304 RF forged stainless threaded flange enquiry addresses a selected pipe joint and mating face. Carbon steel alternatives are also selectable. Confirm the actual joining design, facing dimensions and material specification before accepting a variant.
Thread designation and raised-face drawing
Establish whether the selected interface is threaded or welded. For a threaded requirement, provide the complete NPT designation, gender, engagement and inspection criteria. A welded requirement needs its actual flange subtype, end preparation and pipe-wall match. Gallery examples show open-centre and hubbed forms without certifying the supplied connection.
RF is the raised-face enquiry reference. Request measured face height and diameter, contact finish, thickness and gasket interface. Smooth does not define sealing-face roughness. Confirm outside diameter, bolt circle, hole count, hole diameter and compatible bolting against the mating joint.
F304 traceability and one governing pressure class
Obtain the exact selected material specification, grade and traceability. The A182 F304 stainless enquiry does not assign that grade to carbon steel alternatives or certify every stainless variant. Forged requires actual manufacturing records. The B16.5 references need the complete applicable specification edition and relevant conformity evidence.
Confirm the intended pressure class and its governing basis. The listed Class 125 and Low Pressure wording do not establish a fixed working pressure or justify substituting another class. Assess actual material, temperature, gasket, bolting and connected equipment together. Flexibility, corrosion and chemical-resistance requirements need component and exposure evidence.
Selected dimensions for the flange enquiry
Map 10 mm, 12 mm, 14 mm, 50 mm or 30 mm to the chosen nominal pipe designation and bore. Generic length, height and mounting-hole values are not a complete selected drawing. Provide the end/facing design, material/class requirement, operating medium, pressure, temperature and inspection documents so the proposed flange can be evaluated against the actual joint.
