This forged carbon/stainless welding-flange enquiry needs confirmation of the actual configuration. The title mentions butt-welding, but actual variants say Flange and reviewed images show closed-centre examples. Obtain the selected section and matching product evidence before specifying a pipe connection or assuming the offered flange closes the line.
Resolve closed or bored geometry before joining instructions
Ask whether the selected flange has a solid centre or a bore and pipe interface. Do not relabel it as blind or weld-neck solely from the photographs. For a documented bored welding configuration, define hub, bore and actual pipe connection with its preparation. For a closed configuration, confirm closure thickness and the mating bolted assembly instead. The imported Elbow name does not establish the supported flange's subtype or installation.
Choose the material and map the actual flange dimensions
Select Carbon Steel, Stainless Steel or Alloy and specify an exact grade with a complete material document and traceable records. Explain each millimetre menu value and its nominal-size convention. Record flange thickness, outside diameter, bolt circle, hole count/diameter and applicable bore/hub or closure dimensions. Generic Equal, Hexagon and mounting-hole fields do not replace that drawing. Customized Size does not prove an offered dimension or supplied range.
Qualify the mating assembly and selected rating basis
Agree one numbered dimensional standard and edition, sealing face and finish with the mating flange, gasket and bolting. Support Forged and Smooth through production and surface inspection evidence. Clarify the standard and unit basis of Pipe Class 150 for the actual size, material and temperature. Provide fluid, pressure, temperature, corrosion and mechanical loads for full joint assessment. Include welding and inspection requirements only where the selected installation actually uses a weld connection.
