This ANSI B16.5 BLRF stainless blind-flange enquiry needs an accepted closure drawing and selected rating specification. Confirm the supplied construction before ordering. Blind naming does not independently establish isolation capability, a particular sealing face or a complete pressure-boundary design.

Accept the actual blind construction

The reference image shows a drilled hubbed open-bore component. It cannot certify a solid blind closure or BLRF construction. Define the component explicitly on a drawing, including the required closure function, outside diameter, thickness, sealing-face dimensions and finish, bolt circle, hole count and tolerances.

Identify the selected nominal or measured size role and match the dimensions to the mating flange. The separate 0.26-inch mounting-hole entry cannot establish nominal size or a complete drilling pattern. Customized dimensions require drawing approval and pressure-boundary acceptance for the intended service.

Select material and one governing class

Fifteen actual Flange variants pair each 10 mm, 12 mm, 14 mm, 50 mm and 30 mm label with Stainless Steel, Alloy or Carbon Steel. Select one combination and obtain the material designation, edition, grade, product condition and traceable inspection records. Generic alternatives are not certified grades.

Class 150/300/600/900 references do not establish class-specific availability for every variant. Agree the required class, applicable document and edition, material-temperature basis and conformity evidence. Do not treat class numbers as standalone psi/bar limits or assume interchangeable thickness and drilling.

Confirm closure and joint supply requirements

Provide medium, pressure, temperature, cycling and imposed loads. Agree compatible gasket, bolting, installation and inspection requirements. Request applicable forged-production evidence and define any attachment requirement for the selected construction. Specify painting scope and functional-face exclusions without inferring coating performance. Confirm drawing approval, requested OEM, ODM or OBM work, and the stated one-year warranty terms in the quotation.
