This pipe fitting enquiry is presented as forged stainless 304/316L B16.5 flanges with Class 150–2500 wording. Confirm the actual selected fitting type, material document and one required class before matching a flange assembly to its intended joint.
Verify the material document and chosen grade
304 and 316L are alternative stainless requests, not qualifications of the Alloy or Carbon Steel selections. Obtain the actual material specification, selected grade and heat-traceable certificate. The ASTM A355 LF2 wording requires exact document and grade verification; do not assume another standard or an equivalent designation.
Forged requires selected production and inspection records. Gallery brightness or markings cannot establish alloy or conformity. Include the required document editions and acceptance criteria with the material enquiry.
Select one class and a complete mating drawing
Identify the applicable B16.5 document associated with the ANSI wording. Class 150–2500 describes enquiry designations rather than continuous working pressure; confirm one selected class and its material-temperature basis. Pipe Class 150 alone does not define the complete joint rating.
Obtain nominal size, bore, outside diameter, thickness, bolt circle, hole pattern and tolerances. Five millimetre labels need nominal mapping; mounting-hole diameter 0.25 in is insufficient for drilling acceptance. Customized Size requires an agreed drawing. Define actual flange construction, facing, pipe interface and preparation rather than assigning a version from photographs.
Specify sealing-face finish and joint acceptance
Smooth does not establish measured roughness or a qualified sealing face. State finish and inspection criteria, compatible mating flange, gasket and bolting. For welded supply, confirm preparation and matching wall. Assess the selected assembly with actual medium, pressure, temperature and governing design requirements. Include actual fitting type, exact certificate, chosen class, full face/interface drawing and operating conditions with the enquiry.
