This power generation listing describes a steel socket weld flange with A105 and Class 2500 references. It also names ANSI, JIS and DIN and uses High Pressure wording. Confirm the actual material, selected specification and operating requirements before accepting the proposed size and class combination.
Check the socket and pipe requirements
The Carbon Steel socket weld option is selectable. Provide the pipe dimensions and required flange drawing, including socket bore, depth and fit, facing, thickness and complete drilling pattern. Agree welding and inspection requirements under the project specification rather than assuming a universal socket gap or installation procedure.
Verify the four half-inch bolt holes listed in the table against the mating component for the selected design. The shared 1/2–120 inch range does not confirm every socket weld size, material and class combination as available. Obtain written confirmation for the exact configuration being considered.
Establish Class 2500 and standard applicability
Class 2500 is a class designation, not one allowable pressure for all temperatures or materials. High Pressure wording does not supply the required operating envelope. Confirm the actual pressure-temperature and joint requirements for the selected material and the applicable component design.
Choose the numbered ANSI, JIS or DIN specification and its edition where applicable. The combined names do not establish interchangeable socket geometry, facing or drilling. Request material records supporting A105, with condition, traceability and the required production inspections; Forged wording alone is not a supplied inspection package.
Review the power-system duty
State the fluid, temperature, pressure, transients, cycles and loads affecting the connection. Assess the socket weld flange under the plant requirements and selected standard scope. Clarify the finish beyond Polished, then agree material, socket and dimensional inspection records, marking, preservation, quantity and delivery for the actual component.
