This RF weld-neck flange enquiry brings together dimensional standard, material and pressure-designation requirements that must be selected for one configuration. Identify whether the project calls for ASME B16.5 or EN1092-1, then define the applicable material and joint geometry. The enquiry should establish a clear specification without assuming that different standard systems describe an interchangeable flange.

Choose the standard and its pressure designation

State the required dimensional standard and edition on the project drawing. Define the pressure designation within that standard and confirm PN16 only where it applies to the selected configuration. Request the corresponding facing, flange thickness and bolt-pattern dimensions. A designation from another system should not be treated as an equivalent operating rating without the applicable documentation and a complete mating-interface check.

Separate the F304 and A105 material requirements

Identify the A182 F304 requirement for the intended Stainless Steel configuration or the A105 requirement for the Carbon Steel configuration. Request material confirmation for that same flange and the required construction. These are separate material specifications, not a combined grade. General flange images may illustrate several forms and cannot establish the material or exact weld-neck construction of the selected component.

Match the neck and raised-face joint

Obtain a drawing showing the neck geometry, bore, pipe-end preparation, RF facing and complete bolted interface. Compare the neck end with the adjoining pipe and the flange face with the mating flange, gasket and fasteners. Include the medium, pressure and temperature when requesting the selected configuration's qualification records. Before acceptance, confirm that the standard, pressure designation, grade and drawing all describe the same flange. This keeps pipe attachment and joint compatibility tied to the actual material and operating scope.
