This ASME B16.5 A105 carbon steel blind-flange listing presents a Class 300 connection for natural gas and petroleum enquiries. Class 300 appears in both the title and table. The actual offered component still needs confirmation because the material options say Polypropylene or PP rather than carbon steel.
Confirm A105 material and the actual supplied size
Ask for component identity, the governing material document and edition, full grade, condition and traceability. Resolve the steel/polymer mismatch with accepted certificates before selecting the flange. The table’s Mould wording also requires allocation to the actual manufacturing route.
Both variants use size None. Confirm the individual nominal size and availability, then obtain an approved closure drawing. Repeated one-eighth-to6-inch entries do not establish overall dimensions or bolt-hole diameters. Specify outside diameter, thickness, bolt circle, hole count/diameter and dimensional tolerances.
Match Class 300 and facing to the mating connection
Identify the B16.5 edition and applicable selected material/size/class requirements. Agree the actual facing form, dimensions and finish; no RF configuration is specified in this title. Clarify Equal and NPT OR BSPT fields without assuming extra threaded features.
Class 300 requires a documented material and temperature basis for actual duty. High Pressure is a qualitative table entry rather than a numerical operating rating. Agree the mating flange, gasket and fasteners, plus the surfaces and inspection criteria covered by Polishing.
Define the natural gas or petroleum service
Provide actual medium composition, pressure, temperature, cycling, loads and compatibility requirements. Obtain acceptance for the completed closure joint, including relevant installation/leak inspection. Listed applications do not approve every gas or petroleum duty. Confirm material/manufacturing/dimensional/class records, marking, supply, quotation scope and three-year warranty/customization terms.
