This DIN PN16 stainless forged weld-neck flange enquiry also references grade 316L and ANSI B16.5. The selectable range includes carbon steel and stainless steel across six flange forms. Choose the actual form, exact size and governing specification before assessing the joint.

Weld-neck requirements within six flange alternatives

For a weld-neck selection, obtain the hub, bore, end preparation and pipe-wall match on the selected drawing. Blind, slip-on, socket-weld, lap-joint and threaded selections require their own interface details; they are alternative designs rather than parts of one hybrid flange.

Confirm required mating components and their inclusion separately. Gallery ring-like and hubbed examples do not certify the supplied form or material. The half-inch to 24-inch label is a broad range, not an exact nominal size or proof of every intermediate size.

One standard and actual stainless material evidence

Specify the complete DIN standard number and edition if DIN PN16 is required. ANSI B16.5 is a separate reference needing its own applicable specification details. Do not assume equivalence, simultaneous conformity or interchangeable drilling between the references. PN16 wording alone does not establish a fixed working pressure for every material and temperature.

Obtain the exact material specification, grade and traceability. Grade 316L is the stainless enquiry focus and must not be assigned to carbon steel alternatives. Forged requires manufacturing records; CNC Machined does not independently establish tolerance or measured face roughness. Surface colour does not qualify alloy or coating.

Selected drilling and joint documents

Request nominal size, outside diameter, thickness, facing, bolt circle and mating gasket/pipe details. Six holes and a half-inch bolt-hole diameter are not established across every size and flange type. Include medium, operating pressure, temperature, gasket and bolting requirements with dimensional/end inspection. Assess the chosen flange against the documented construction joint rather than treating Construction wording as universal approval.
