This 12-inch JIS B2220 16K ASTM A105 flange enquiry highlights a raised-face slip-on hub construction. Begin with the mating face and hub/pipe fit, then document the selected class, material and operating basis.
Accept the raised face and slip-on hub interface
Define measured face geometry, surface finish and roughness, gasket seating, bore, hub dimensions and pipe clearance. Agree slip-on assembly and welding details. Establish outside diameter, thickness, bolt circle, hole quantity and diameter and tolerances for the selected drawing.
Reference photos show open flanges with different drilling patterns and surface colors. They assist comparison without certifying actual raised-face geometry, hub construction, grade or class. Six-hole wording and the repeated 1/2-inch to 24-inch range do not define drilling for every size or construction.
Select actual construction and document JIS requirements
Twelve variants combine Carbon Steel or Stainless Steel, one shared range and blind, weld-neck, slip-on, socket-weld, lap-joint or threaded types. Confirm exact size and type. The 12-inch title is an enquiry size within the range, not a separate variant or proof of inventory. Other constructions require their corresponding closure, neck/end, socket, assembly or thread acceptance.
Agree the applicable JIS B2220 edition, selected 16K requirement and compliance evidence. Do not interpret 16K as a numerical working pressure or assume equivalence to another class system. Assign any ASTM A105 requirement to the accepted carbon steel specification and traceable certificate; it does not certify stainless choices.
Qualify the material and assembled joint
Request the selected grade, product specification and manufacturing/inspection records. CNC-machined wording and surface color do not establish body route, coating chemistry or certified material. No numerical pressure-temperature envelope is supplied.
Provide actual medium composition, temperature, pressure and cycling for assessment with the mating flange, gasket and fasteners. Construction naming supplies context only. Submit the exact-size hub/face/drilling drawing, JIS/class and ASTM evidence, selected material and production requirements and complete installed duty so fit and operating suitability can be accepted together.
