A flange enquiry needs a defined standard and mating interface before a pressure designation can guide selection. This product title brings together ASTM A105 carbon steel, ASME B16.5, EN 1092-1 and several rating references. Treat these as requirements to clarify for the selected model, then assess its construction, dimensions and material records against the intended connection.
Separate the standard and pressure designation
Identify which standard and edition governs the required flange. State the pressure designation within that specification and ask for the corresponding dimensional and rating evidence. PN16, CL600 and the separate Pipe Class entry should not be combined into a single interchangeable rating. The enquiry should identify one required configuration, with its nominal size, facing and mating pattern shown on an agreed drawing.
Confirm the plate form and pipe interface
If a plate flange is required, specify that construction and request a selected-model drawing. Confirm the bore, thickness, bolt circle, hole dimensions and facing details against the adjoining flange. Where the flange connects to pipe, include pipe outside diameter, wall dimensions and joint preparation. Explain what the millimetre option value measures; a general size label or mounting-hole field does not establish the complete geometry, and mixed product images cannot identify the ordered form.
Link material records to actual duty
For the A105 carbon-steel requirement, obtain the exact material specification, applicable edition and traceable grade and production records. Any stainless-steel alternative needs its own grade assessment. Provide the fluid, pressure and temperature together with sealing, fabrication and inspection requirements for the complete joint. Check standard conformity and material-dependent rating evidence for the selected item before accepting service. A forged label or smooth appearance alone cannot establish the manufacturing route or operating suitability.
