This prefabricated insulated carbon steel pipe is presented for underground oil installation. Polyurethane foam appears in the title and HDPE coating in the table. Define the complete pipe assembly against the actual oil service and buried route, including fabrication, joints and installation acceptance.
Select the carrier and prefabricated layer build
The table gives P235JH, Saw technique and outside diameter 219–1066 mm. Thickness options span 6–20 mm with lengths of 12 m or 6 m. Select individual dimensions and distinguish steel carrier measurements from insulation and finished outer dimensions before agreeing the supply drawing.
Obtain the full material designation, condition, governing standards and editions, heat traceability and certificates. Allocate ±1% to specific dimensions and acceptance methods. Confirm SAW manufacture, seam arrangement and weld inspection records; generic ASTM wording does not complete the selected material specification.
Coordinate foam, HDPE and site joints
Specify insulation and HDPE construction, layer thicknesses, interfaces and pipe-end preparation. Agree field-joint insulation, outer closure, repair methods and inspection. Request thermal evidence under stated conditions. Black wording does not define a coating formulation, and no density, conductivity or service-life figure is supplied.
Although bending is listed, establish whether it occurs before or after insulation, with an agreed bend drawing and acceptance criteria. The processing list supplies no minimum bend radius. Include lifting, transport, storage and end protection requirements for the selected prefabricated configuration.
Assess the underground oil route
Provide oil composition, additives, pressure, temperature and cycling together with soil, moisture, cover, external loads and movement. Obtain acceptance of steel, welds, layers and joints for those conditions. Verify API/ISO 9001 documents and agree installation details, testing, traceability, dimensional and layer reports, and quotation scope.
