A carbon-steel reducer enquiry with DN400 and DN350 ends needs a complete two-end specification. Define the required dimensions, wall thicknesses and transition alignment before choosing a configuration. If the project requires ASTM A234 WPB material and a galvanized finish, those requirements should be tied to the same selected fitting through its drawing and production records.
Define the DN400 to DN350 Transition
Request the actual end diameters, overall length and alignment on a selected-item drawing. State whether the transition should be concentric or eccentric and show any relevant installation orientation. Identify the dimensional specification that governs the fitting. For an STD wall requirement, confirm the corresponding thickness at each end for the chosen sizes. A schedule range describes wall options rather than establishing the nominal size pair of a reducer.
Specify WPB Material and Galvanized Finish
State the exact ASTM A234 WPB material requirement and obtain traceable documentation for the proposed item. Confirm the manufacturing process, including seamless construction if required, on the production records. Define the galvanized finish specification separately from the base material. Have the selected finish and any preparation around the welding ends documented so that the coating requirement and joining method can be considered together.
Match Both Ends to the Pipework
Compare the reducer end dimensions and weld preparation with both adjoining pipe specifications. Name the process medium and record the operating pressure and service temperatures when requesting the applicable design and material qualification. Complete the enquiry with one end-size pair, wall thicknesses, alignment, material grade and finish requirement. Reviewing those details on the same drawing and supporting records provides a basis for assessing the proposed reducer against the pipeline installation before the final configuration is selected.
