This JIS B2312 pipe elbow enquiry concerns a 90-degree carbon steel turn with the actual joining details to be confirmed. State the required standard edition and the pipe layout before choosing the configuration. The selected elbow needs a complete dimensional and material specification so that the turn and both connections can be checked together.
Define the required JIS turn drawing
Show the incoming and outgoing pipe centerlines and identify the required 90-degree change in direction. Request the centerline radius and center-to-end dimensions for the selected elbow. Include the installation envelope and both actual end diameters and walls. If a reducing arrangement is required, identify each end separately rather than treating one size selection as a complete two-end specification.
State the joining preparation explicitly
Provide the connection form and preparation required by the project at each opening. Compare these requirements with the mating pipe dimensions and the joining procedure. General connection words do not define the actual end geometry, and a curved fitting image cannot establish the selected joining specification. Ask for confirmation on the same drawing used to assess the angle and end dimensions.
Confirm the carbon steel and service scope
Name the exact Carbon Steel grade and required construction, then request the material and dimensional records for the selected part. A Stainless Steel option needs a separate material requirement. Include the medium, design pressure and temperature when asking for the applicable qualification. A standard name or qualitative pressure label does not establish an operating rating for an unspecified configuration. Before accepting the elbow, check that the JIS requirement, turn drawing, joining preparation and material records all describe the same proposed component and match the actual pipe installation.
