This return-bend enquiry concerns a carbon-steel WPB requirement with a requested 180-degree long-radius shape and ANSI B16.9 dimensions. The Elbow options and return-shaped fittings in the photographs support the curved-pipe family. A selected drawing must still establish the actual return layout, wall and material package for the option being considered.
Define the return radius and distance between pipe runs
Show the actual centreline radius, separation between end centres, overall height and alignment of both openings. Confirm what LR means for the offered model and the applicable B16.9 edition and dimensional inspection. Compare the return envelope with adjoining pipe runs and nearby supports, including room for joining and inspection. Photographic shape does not establish a numeric radius or certify the angle for every option. Explain the millimetre labels before assigning the selected nominal size.
Confirm both weld ends and the complete WPB specification
Record equal-end outside diameters, actual walls and butt-weld preparation against the mating pipes. No wall schedule is supplied, so request actual thickness and its dimensional basis. Select Carbon Steel for the WPB requirement and obtain the complete material specification, edition and traceable grade records; the title does not name a material specification number. Stainless Steel and Alloy choices require separate exact assignments. The Hexagon and mounting-hole fields cannot replace a measured return drawing.
Connect production and coating records to service acceptance
Verify Forged through traceable manufacturing and inspection evidence. Define Painting through surface preparation, coating coverage and required weld-zone condition, since colour alone does not qualify a protective system. Supply fluid, pressure, temperature, corrosion and mating-pipe conditions with joining and inspection requirements. Pipe Class 150 alone does not establish allowable duty. Customized Size does not prove arbitrary dimensional capability or availability. Acceptance should identify the selected return drawing, actual walls and complete material/production package.
