This 6-inch SCH80 carbon steel 90-degree butt-weld elbow enquiry carries B16.9 and forged title references. The actual option covers a half-inch-to-12-inch range rather than selecting six inches separately. Confirm the nominal size, actual wall and end details as one accepted configuration before procurement.
Allocate the six-inch SCH80 elbow dimensions
Request nominal size, outside diameters, bores, actual wall thickness and the approved 90-degree drawing. Verify SCH80 allocation to the selected size rather than treating the range label as wall evidence. A schedule reference does not independently approve numerical operating pressure or the assembled connection.
Obtain measured radius, center-to-end dimensions, tolerances and weld preparation, with the governing B16.9 edition and applicable configuration. No long/short radius is recorded. Agree matching pipe and wall requirements without importing an unrecorded radius class or assuming every catalogue size is already documented.
Clarify NPT wording and the original range fields
The title describes butt welding while the table records Welding and NPT. Request actual end-detail confirmation and joining requirements. Overall length, height and mounting-hole diameter repeat the same size range; obtain individual measurements and clarify whether a hole feature exists. Resolve Hexagon against the drawing.
Ask for the full carbon steel designation, condition, traceability, certificates and evidence of forged manufacture. WPB and seamless are not specified here. Define inspection of the smooth surface and any required treatment; corrosion-resistant wording does not establish coating chemistry or suitability for a particular medium.
Approve the specified construction assembly
The catalogue offers only Low Pressure and Not Rated labels, so obtain the accepted numerical operating envelope. Provide medium, pressure, temperature, exposure, cycling and loads, then obtain compatibility acceptance. Agree joining, alignment, support, inspection, marking, material/process/dimensional records, warranty terms and quotation scope for the selected six-inch requirement.
