Thread TypesNPT
This cast carbon steel threaded coupling is listed with half/full configuration wording and a Class 3000 reference. The title names 3 inch, but the only variant is 10 mm carbon steel. Establish the actual size and coupling arrangement before selecting the supply package.
Select half or full coupling geometry
Confirm whether the order requires a half or full coupling and verify its availability. The single variant does not distinguish those configurations. Provide a drawing showing connection count, nominal end sizes, wall, thread dimensions and tolerances, with the intended reducing relationship from the table clarified.
Resolve the 3-inch title against the 10 mm option without assuming dimensional equivalence. Allocate the 4 in length and 0.26 in hole to actual features and identify the sizing convention. Check installation space and exact availability rather than using isolated table values as a complete drawing.
Define cast carbon steel and NPT supply requirements
Specify the full carbon steel grade, condition and governing material document. Stainless steel also appears in the title, but no stainless variant is selectable. Obtain traceability, casting and inspection records for the ordered material rather than treating the title as proof of every material option.
Confirm the full NPT designation, engagement, mating components, sealing and examination criteria. Agree measurable Smooth finish requirements and delivery protection. Identify the governing Class 3000 basis at the selected material and temperature; neither the class label nor Low Pressure wording supplies a stand-alone operating pressure.
Qualify the intended environment and feature claims
Provide medium, numerical duty, temperature, cycling, exposure and mechanical loads. Underground use needs selected installation and environmental evidence. Clarify the feature scope and obtain relevant flexibility, corrosion, chemical or UV records. Agree material/joint acceptance with the resolved geometry, casting, thread, finish and testing requirements in the quotation.
