This pipe tee enquiry is for a carbon steel equal-tee requirement, with the run, branch and three connection ends to be confirmed together. Identify the intended branch arrangement and exact material before choosing a configuration. An equal-tee description needs dimensional support for all openings, especially when the installation requires the branch and run to match.
Specify the run and branch separately
Give the nominal run size and branch size as separate entries on the enquiry, even if they are intended to be equal. Request the actual diameters, walls and center-to-end dimensions for all three ports. Include the branch orientation and any installation envelope constraints. A single size selection does not fully describe a tee, and general tee photographs may show arrangements with different branch proportions.
Choose one wall and joining specification
State the wall designation or actual wall requirement for the selected tee rather than treating a broad schedule range as one supplied item. Identify the joining preparation needed at each opening and request the applicable dimensional standard number and edition. Confirm the intended Carbon Steel specification; a Stainless Steel selection requires a separate material definition. Keep the material, wall and three-end geometry associated with the same configuration throughout the enquiry.
Evaluate the complete branch connection
Provide the adjoining pipe dimensions and the medium, design pressure and temperature for the proposed branch. Ask for the material and dimensional documentation needed to assess that arrangement. General industry, pressure or resistance labels do not establish the selected tee's service qualification. Before accepting the fitting, check that the run, branch, end preparation and wall definition correspond to the project drawing. This gives the enquiry a clear decision point: confirmation of the three-port geometry and material scope before a final fit or service assessment.
