This carbon-steel elbow enquiry brings together SCH40, WPB under ASTM A234 and the requested 90-degree long-radius geometry with ANSI B16.9. The requirements need one selected drawing and matching records. A single photograph and generic size/material alternatives cannot establish the same dimensions, wall or manufacturing qualification for every option.
Verify the long-radius turn and equal-end fit
Confirm the applicable B16.9 edition and show the actual centreline radius, centre-to-end distances and required angle on the offered model's drawing. Explain the millimetre labels and specify nominal size, outside diameter and wall at both equal ends. State the weld preparation and check clearance and inspection access against the adjoining pipes. The Hexagon and mounting-hole fields do not define the elbow's measured envelope. Photographic form and faint markings cannot establish exact radius or end dimensions.
Connect the chosen size to SCH40 and WPB records
Relate SCH40 to the selected nominal size and actual dimensional record rather than treating it as one fixed thickness across the options. Select carbon steel for the WPB requirement and obtain the full ASTM A234 specification, edition and traceable material records. Stainless-steel and Alloy choices require separate grade assignments. Request manufacturing and inspection evidence before accepting Forged as an actual route; the dark surface does not establish that process.
Agree coating and complete-joint qualification
Define surface preparation, coating coverage and required condition around the weld ends instead of relying on Painting alone. Supply the mating-pipe specifications, fluid, pressure, temperature and corrosion conditions and agree the joining and inspection procedure. Pipe Class 150 does not establish allowable duty. Customized Size also does not confirm arbitrary dimensional capability or availability. Acceptance should tie the selected equal-end and radius drawing to material, manufacturing and complete-joint evidence.
