This customized stainless steel flange listing describes a 316L raised face design for chemical industry use. Forged, ANSI and Polished references also appear in the title. Confirm the actual flange type and facing drawing before specifying the material and inspection requirements for the intended chemical plant connection.
Define the raised face and selected flange type
Raised face describes a facing requirement rather than identifying one of the selectable flange types. Choose the intended component, then request its face height, diameter, finish and mating-joint requirements on the drawing. Do not assume every listed type uses the same facing arrangement.
Review nominal size, thickness, bore or closure geometry and the details specific to the connection. Check the complete drilling pattern against the mating equipment. Four half-inch holes appear in the table and title, but require confirmation for the selected component rather than automatic use across the shared 1/2–120 inch range.
Agree the material and customization evidence
Request actual material records supporting grade 316L, including condition and traceability. The generic Stainless Steel choices do not independently establish that designation. Confirm the required production and inspection package instead of treating Forged wording as supplied evidence of conformity.
Identify the numbered specification, edition and pressure designation behind the ANSI reference where applicable. Agree the customized drawing revision, dimensions and inspection criteria. Polished does not provide a measured face finish or establish mating-gasket acceptance, and the broad listing range does not confirm every customized combination as available.
Describe the chemical plant conditions
Provide the chemical, concentration, contaminants, temperature, pressure, cycles and loads for review. Assess the actual material, facing and joint under those requirements without assuming general chemical compatibility or corrosion immunity. Confirm material and dimensional inspections, required records, marking, preservation, quantity and delivery for the chosen configuration.
