A pipe fitting reducer is selected to connect a larger pipe end with a smaller one. This product offers Stainless Steel, Alloy and Carbon Steel material choices; the required reducer geometry and both end dimensions should be defined together before selecting a configuration.

Draw the size transition and its orientation

For an eccentric reducer request, show the required offset and orientation on a dimensioned drawing. Confirm whether the transition must be eccentric or concentric, because the size change alone does not define the relationship between the two pipe centerlines.

The drawing should locate the large and small ends within the intended pipe arrangement. That gives the geometry review a clear reference without relying on a photograph to establish dimensions or the exact supplied form.

Specify two ends rather than one size label

Provide the large-end and small-end sizes with their units and dimensional designations. Add the wall thickness and required welding end preparation at each end so the transition can be checked against both adjoining pipes.

Choose the material family separately and state the required grade. A Stainless Steel selection does not by itself establish 316 material, just as an end-size selection does not identify the entire reducer configuration.

Confirm construction for the requested reducer

If the project requires seamless construction or a particular forming method, include that requirement in the enquiry and obtain confirmation for the selected part. Appearance alone cannot verify manufacturing method, material grade or service capability.

Supply the applicable standard, medium and design conditions along with the drawing before judging pressure and temperature suitability. For an eccentric transition, the decisive enquiry details remain the two-end dimensions and drawing-defined offset, with the material and construction requirements tied to that same reducer.
