This pipe elbow enquiry concerns a 45-degree DN80 layout with ASME B16.9 and ASTM A234 WPB requirements. Confirm the actual turn, radius, end dimensions and material of the selected configuration before matching it to the pipe run. The enquiry should describe the required geometry clearly enough to distinguish it from a different angle or nominal size.
Locate the 45-degree turn on the pipe layout
Show the incoming and outgoing pipe centerlines and identify the required change in direction. Add the centerline radius and center-to-end dimensions needed for the installation. Request a drawing that confirms those features for the selected elbow. Keep the DN80 designation linked to actual end diameters and walls; a smaller millimetre size label should not be treated as equivalent without dimensional confirmation.
Separate the WPB requirement from material choices
Specify ASTM A234 WPB for the intended Carbon Steel configuration and request the corresponding material documentation. A Stainless Steel choice needs its own exact material specification and assessment. State the required ASME B16.9 edition and wall requirement on the same enquiry. Confirm the actual construction and end preparation instead of assuming these are established by a broad material family or a general elbow photograph.
Check both connections and the service scope
Provide the dimensions of both adjoining pipes and identify the joining preparation required at each end. Review the resulting connection against the installation procedure and layout drawing. Include the intended medium, pressure and temperature when requesting qualification for the selected configuration. Neither a nominal diameter nor a turn angle establishes an operating rating. Complete the enquiry with the selected-part drawing, material scope and wall definition so the geometry and service conditions can be evaluated together before the elbow is accepted.
