This listing presents 321 stainless steel pipe for heat exchangers and boiler systems. Its table identifies stainless steel and ERW manufacture, while the title supplies the more specific grade reference. Use the enquiry to establish the actual material and equipment requirements before specifying a supply package.
Identify the pipe role within the equipment
State whether the pipe forms a process connection, header or another specified component. Provide the relevant drawing, fluids and exposure on each applicable side, operating temperature and pressure, start-up cycles and external loads. The intended equipment role determines which dimensional and inspection requirements need agreement.
High-temperature resistant wording gives no maximum operating temperature or allowable pressure. Ask the responsible designer to assess the selected material, wall and joints for the actual duty. A heat-exchanger or boiler application reference alone does not establish equipment approval or compatibility with every process fluid.
Verify the grade and production evidence
Request material records supporting the 321 designation, including chemistry, condition and traceability. Reconcile those records with the generic stainless steel grade and Non-Alloy table entry. Identify the numbered ASTM specification and edition rather than treating the ASTM label as a complete purchase standard.
Confirm the ERW production route and the required weld examinations, heat treatment and acceptance documents. Cold-rolled processing does not specify a polished or passivated finish. Review the actual scope of any API or ISO 9001 documentation against the ordered product and supplier.
Select the dimensions and delivery condition
Choose the exact outside diameter within the listed 219–1066 mm range, wall within the 6–20 mm entry and either 6 m or 12 m length. Clarify the ±1% tolerance basis, straightness, ovality and end preparation. Agree non-oiled preservation, actual-weight invoicing, availability and the quoted 8–14-day delivery timing.
