This pipe cap enquiry combines a 24-inch carbon-steel closure requirement with grade 70 A516 material and a specified thickness of 10 mm. Identify the selected cap and its drawing before assigning those title dimensions to an option. The title, variants and bowl-shaped photographs support cap identity despite an Elbow label in the original specification table.
Separate nominal size from finished thickness
State the required nominal pipe size and actual mating outside diameter for the 24-inch connection. Explain how the chosen millimetre-labelled option relates to that size; its value should not automatically be treated as the title's thickness. Request opening diameter, cap depth and profile, end preparation and wall dimensions on one drawing. Clarify whether 10 mm refers to starting material or the accepted finished cap, including measurement locations and tolerances after manufacture.
Link the material requirement to the cap
Choose the carbon-steel alternative and identify the governing material specification for grade 70 A516, supported by traceable records for the offered item. Stainless-steel and alloy options need separately agreed grades. Markings on a photographed cap cannot establish every variant's material, size or wall schedule. Ask for production and inspection evidence before accepting the Forged label as the selected manufacturing route, and confirm the actual weld-end details against the mating pipe.
Agree closure and service acceptance
Specify the governing cap dimensional standard and inspection requirements without assuming an unlisted designation. A Customized Size field requires feasibility and drawing confirmation. Provide the fluid, operating pressure and temperature, corrosion conditions and joining requirements for assessment of the complete welded pipe-end closure. Class 150 does not by itself establish allowable duty; Painting, head-code and mounting-hole labels do not qualify coating performance or measured cap geometry. Acceptance should connect one cap profile and finished-wall drawing with the exact material specification and traceable manufacturing records.
