This oil and drilling enquiry describes ERW, cold-rolled non-alloy steel pipe with a Grade B reference under A53. The table identifies carbon steel, while the actual options specify thickness and length. Confirm the intended grade and supply condition through the selected order documents.
Separate oil pipe duty from the drilling role
Identify whether the pipe is intended to convey oil, form part of process equipment or serve a defined drilling function. These roles need different operating and mechanical assessments. A Drill Pipe label alone does not establish drill-string connection compatibility, torsional capacity or fatigue performance.
For fluid service, provide composition, contaminants, pressure, temperature and operating cycles. For a drilling proposal, describe the actual mechanical role, loads, connections and acceptance criteria. The application wording does not independently qualify sour-fluid or hydrogen service or provide a numerical pressure limit.
Confirm material records and cold-rolled condition
Request the relevant A53 edition and selected Grade B material records, including condition, chemistry, mechanical properties, ERW production and inspection evidence. Clarify what the cold-rolled field means for the offered manufacturing sequence. It does not by itself establish a precision bore or particular finished surface.
API and ISO 9001 entries require documents and scope confirmation where specified. Likewise, broad API or EMT special-pipe labels do not replace the requirements for the chosen role. Agree traceability, weld inspection and any additional tests as part of procurement.
Select dimensions and arrange supply acceptance
The options offer 6 m and 12 m lengths with a 6–20 mm thickness entry; outer diameter is listed as 219–1066 mm. Choose the exact combination and clarify the dimension covered by ±1%. Define end details, straightness and ovality, then confirm availability, non-oiled preservation, storage, actual-weight invoicing and the stated 8–14-day delivery wording.
