This polished stainless steel tee is listed for high-pressure enquiries with lateral Y and butt-weld wording. The table also records a 90-degree head code, Socket Weld and NPT. Resolve the actual branch geometry and connection arrangement for the 20NB variant before finalizing supply.
Confirm lateral Y geometry against the drawing
Provide a drawing showing branch angle, run and branch sizes, wall thickness and tolerances. Clarify how the lateral Y title relates to the 90-degree table entry. The generic TEE option does not settle that relationship, and Round does not establish an equal or reducing arrangement.
Define the nominal sizing convention behind 20NB and allocate the listed 2 in length and 0.25 in hole to actual features. Check the component envelope and installation clearance. Confirm the selected geometry is available rather than inferring it from a mixed set of title and table labels.
Allocate butt-weld, socket and NPT interfaces
Prepare an end schedule identifying the actual connection at each interface. Resolve butt-weld title wording against Socket Weld in the table, and clarify the role of NPT. Specify preparation, socket or thread dimensions, mating parts, sealing and examination; the terms do not establish interchangeable ends.
Select the full stainless steel designation, condition and governing material document, supported by traceability and production/inspection records. Identify the chosen B16.11 requirements and conformity scope for the actual component. Agree measurable Polished and Smooth finish criteria and delivery protection.
Verify rating and corrosion-service acceptance
Establish the Class 3000 basis at the selected material and temperature without converting the label into operating pressure. Record the intended fluid and pressure/temperature envelope, cyclic loading and corrosive exposure for this tee. Clarify applicable features and any buried use, obtain relevant resistance or flexibility evidence, and document material/joint acceptance with the resolved drawing, interfaces, finish and testing package.
