This stainless butt-weld elbow enquiry combines A403 with 304, 347, 1.4550 and 316 material references. The title also states 12"X8", while the table says Equal and actual variants use single millimetre sizes. Confirm one exact grade and the actual end-size relationship before treating the title as a selected elbow specification.

Reconcile the title size pair with the Equal entry

Ask what 12"X8" represents, then define each nominal end size, outside diameter and actual wall on a drawing. Confirm whether the offered ends are equal or reducing; do not infer that relationship from the generic menu. Explain the millimetre options and their size convention without converting nominal inch labels directly to actual diameters. State bend angle, centreline radius, centre-to-end dimensions and orientation. Gallery curves cannot qualify these measurements.

Select one material designation and traceable grade

Choose Stainless Steel for this enquiry and obtain the full specification and records for the selected grade. Do not assume 304, 347, 1.4550 and 316 are interchangeable or jointly qualified. Request documented designation relationships where intended, together with the applicable A403 edition and conformity evidence. Alloy and Carbon Steel alternatives need separate specifications and joining assessment. Agree actual wall and dimensional requirements without inventing a schedule or another standard number.

Qualify both welded ends under the intended bend duty

Define butt-weld preparation, alignment and inspection with the actual adjoining pipes, especially if their sizes differ. Verify Forged through production evidence and clarify coating and weld-zone acceptance beyond Painting. Generic Hexagon and mounting-hole fields are not bend dimensions. Establish the standard and unit basis of Pipe Class 125, then assess fluid, pressure, temperature, corrosion and bend loads for the complete assembly. Accept against reconciled ends, one material and documented joining evidence.
