This pipe elbow page supports a two-inch stainless steel welded-fitting enquiry with a selected 45-degree or 90-degree turn and a specified 304 or 316 material requirement. Choose one angle and one exact material specification for the configuration being considered. The complete request also needs the radius, pipe dimensions and end connections.
Match one angle with one stainless specification
Mark the required turn and centerline radius on the piping drawing. State the precise stainless grade needed for that elbow; 304 and 316 are separate requirements rather than interchangeable descriptions. Ask for confirmation that the selected angle, grade and wall belong to the same fitting configuration. A Carbon Steel alternative needs its own grade specification and cannot be treated as a stainless equivalent.
Confirm the two-inch weld-end arrangement
Provide the nominal size, actual outside diameter and wall thickness of both mating pipes. Clarify how those dimensions relate to the selected size option. Define the connection form at each end and identify the required preparation for any butt-weld connection. Where a different thread or interface is needed, specify it explicitly before assuming that the elbow can join the intended pipes.
Qualify the elbow for the service chemistry
For a chemical-service request, identify the medium, concentration, design temperature and pressure. Those conditions need to be evaluated against the exact material and construction of the selected elbow. A general chemical-resistance label cannot establish suitability across all grades or operating conditions. Request the applicable dimensional standard, material confirmation and relevant pressure-temperature and compatibility evidence. Review that information with the required drawing before choosing the elbow for the piping application.
