A welded tee enquiry should define the branch arrangement and identify the selected fitting before comparing class or wall references. For a project requiring Class 3000, state the governing standard and requested material scope. Keep the class requirement separate from wall-schedule requirements so the proposed tee can be assessed against a complete design specification.

Identify the Tee and Its Three Interfaces

Request a drawing showing both run ends and the branch connection, with the model linked to the quotation. Give the nominal size and mating pipe outside diameter at each interface. Define the required branch relationship and the dimensions needed for installation. Confirm that the selected model represents the requested tee before relying on a single size selection. Specify the actual weld connection and end preparation instead of assuming a particular joint style from a general welding label.

Separate Class Designation from Wall Schedule

Identify the applicable class standard and the material-dependent basis for the required designation. Define the wall-schedule convention independently and request the actual thickness mapping for each selected connection. Where STD or SCH80 is requested, establish the corresponding dimensional scope rather than treating either label as a direct pressure rating. Name the exact steel grade, and obtain manufacturing records if forged construction is a project requirement.

Complete the Joint and Service Design Review

Provide the fluid composition, operating pressure and temperature, together with fabrication requirements for the welded assembly. Request material, dimensional and design documentation supporting the selected tee and its joints. State any coating requirement separately from pressure or corrosion-service qualification. Finalize the enquiry with the approved three-interface drawing, grade, production evidence, standard-defined class basis, wall mapping and documented operating limits so each design requirement can be checked against the same proposed configuration.
