This welding elbow enquiry retains A234 WPB carbon steel and the requested 90-degree turn. The Elbow variants and curved fitting photographs support the family, but actual selection requires the turn geometry, pipe ends and material records to describe the same offered model. Visible markings should not be assigned to every size and material alternative.
Specify the turn and the two pipe connections
Provide the required angle, centreline radius, centre-to-end distances and available installation envelope on a drawing. Identify nominal size, outside diameter and wall at each end, and explain the dimensional basis of the millimetre options. Decide whether equal or reducing ends are required and show any size change explicitly. State the weld preparation for the adjoining pipes. The Male/Female, head-code and mounting-hole fields do not define that welded interface, and photographs cannot verify the numerical turn or radius.
Obtain material and production records for the model
Choose carbon steel for the A234 WPB requirement and request the full material specification, edition and traceable grade evidence. A stainless-steel alternative needs a separate material decision. Agree dimensional and joining acceptance alongside the material reference. Production and inspection records should establish whether the manufacturing description is compatible with the selected requirements before the Casting field is accepted as a route. Surface colour and photographed lettering cannot establish the actual process or wall schedule.
Set coating and welded-joint acceptance
Define surface preparation, coating coverage and required condition at the weld areas instead of treating Painting as a complete protective specification. Supply mating-pipe details, fluid, pressure, temperature and corrosion conditions and agree the welding and inspection plan. Pipe Class 150 alone does not establish allowable pressure-temperature duty. Connect acceptance of the complete joint to the agreed turn and end-pair drawing and matching material, manufacturing and inspection records.
