This offshore piping enquiry describes a black painted carbon steel equal tee with butt-weld connections. The Equal table entry and the pictured branch fitting support a tee description, but both selectable material variants use Reducer labels. Confirm the actual supplied form and drawing before placing an order.
Define the offshore exposure and protection system
Specify whether the component faces marine atmosphere, salt spray, splash, immersion or another environment. These conditions require different protection assessments. Anti-Rust wording and a black finish do not establish suitability across offshore exposure zones or prove the durability of a particular coating.
Request the required surface preparation, coating layers, materials, thickness and curing details, together with the inspection and acceptance specification. The original image shows a dark surface without identifying its chemistry or tested performance. Agree any storage, handling and repair requirements relevant to preserving the selected protection.
Reconcile tee geometry with the actual order labels
Obtain a dimensioned drawing showing run and branch sizes, wall dimensions, weld-end preparation and center-to-end measurements. Verify the equal configuration rather than measuring it from the photograph. The half-inch to 110-inch option is broad catalogue wording; the supplier should confirm the particular offered size and tolerances.
Carbon Steel and a234wpb are separate material labels. Establish the selected grade, condition and traceability, and verify the claimed forging route. Check the applicable ANSI B16.9 edition and dimensional scope. Generic Hexagon, mounting and thread entries need clarification against the selected welded fitting drawing.
Assess loads and operating limits for the project
Provide fluid, pressure, temperature, cycling, vibration and external loads for engineering review. High Pressure is not a numerical capacity, and offshore wording does not establish project approval or fatigue performance. Agree the material, joint inspection, coating checks and acceptance records needed for the confirmed tee and service conditions.
