BrandSTSurfaceCustomers't Requirement
This stainless steel elbow page supports a request for a 90-degree turn with a six-inch nominal size and Schedule 20 wall requirement. Specify the required 304 stainless configuration explicitly. Selection depends on a confirmed dimensional drawing, the exact material specification and the connection details for the elbow being considered.
Separate nominal diameter from wall thickness
A six-inch pipe requirement should be accompanied by the actual outside diameter and the required wall at each end. Clarify what each size option represents before using it to choose the fitting. A small metric dimension may need explanation and should not be assumed to describe the complete nominal pipe size. Confirm that the requested Schedule 20 wall belongs to the same elbow configuration.
Identify the stainless specification and surface condition
Request the precise material specification and grade for the intended stainless elbow. State 304 if that is the project requirement; 304 and 316 are separate selections and should not be accepted as interchangeable descriptions. Define the required surface condition and finish as part of the enquiry, particularly where the medium or downstream joining process makes that choice significant.
Match the turn and both pipe connections
Provide the required 90-degree geometry, centerline radius and dimensional tolerances on the piping drawing. Confirm the connection form and preparation at both ends, including the wall of each mating pipe. The intended service medium, design pressure and temperature are also needed to assess suitability. An isolated schedule or pressure-class label cannot establish the complete service rating. Ask for the applicable dimensional standard and selected-part material and qualification documents before finalizing the elbow specification.
