This enquiry requests an ASTM A234 Schedule 80 carbon steel butt-weld eccentric reducer. Its actual options are labelled Elbow, and the specification table also states Elbow and Equal. Confirm the selected fitting's shape before accepting the reducer title as a supplied configuration; the original menu alone does not resolve that discrepancy.
Link the selected variant to a confirmed fitting drawing
The photographs show tapered examples, including an apparently offset form, without assigning geometry or material to each option. Ask for written identification tied to the selected variant. If an eccentric reducer is confirmed, specify the larger and smaller ends, their axis offset, overall length and installation orientation. Clarify the Equal label against the required reduction. If an elbow is intended instead, obtain its angle, radius and centre-to-end dimensions separately.
Map Schedule 80 to both actual end sizes
A single millimetre menu label does not define a reducer's two nominal sizes. Establish the size convention, both outside diameters and each wall with the mating pipe data. Schedule 80 needs that size-specific mapping; it is neither one universal thickness nor an independent pressure rating. Hexagon, the mounting-hole entry and Customized Size cannot replace the selected dimensional drawing.
Establish the material grade and resolved joint requirements
Select Carbon Steel for the title enquiry and request the exact material grade within A234, its edition and traceable material documents. Do not infer WPB or apply the carbon specification to Stainless Steel and Alloy alternatives. Verify Forged from production records and define the actual coating and joint-zone condition beyond Painting. Once the reducer configuration is confirmed, document butt-weld preparation and joining inspection. Establish the dimensional requirements and Pipe Class 150's basis, then assess fluid, temperature, pressure, corrosion and loads for the fitting and both completed pipe joints.
