This valve enquiry presents large-diameter cast-steel supply for oil and steam. Establish the actual selected valve mechanism and certified operating envelope before approving service. Confirm manual operating details and the complete assembly rather than relying on an application name or isolated pressure label.
Establish the selected mechanism and nominal size
Request an assembly drawing showing the actual flow path, operating mechanism, manual arrangement and inspection requirements. Control wording alone does not define throttling characteristics or accuracy. Flanged gallery housings, top-cover details and cast markings cannot establish the delivered mechanism, material or rating.
Actual size variants run from 3/8 in to 1 in, while port/connection and maximum-pipe labels extend to 4in. Large Diameter does not select one nominal size. Agree the actual port, face-to-face dimension, flange standard and complete connection drawing before matching the piping.
Obtain one complete pressure and temperature envelope
Request the exact selected pressure category, governing standard and certified pressure-temperature rating. Numerical title labels need their own documented basis and cannot establish an interchangeable class or working limit. Evaluate actual inlet/outlet pressure, differential pressure, temperature and operating conditions together.
The listed 0~150 Celsius and 0-100L/min values do not prove simultaneous capability. Steam suitability needs actual medium conditions and selected assembly acceptance. BASE and General do not identify a qualified chemical service; specify composition and expected operating conditions.
Identify body, trim and seals separately
Stainless Steel requires an actual certified body grade; Casting describes a manufacturing route. Carbon Steel is labelled for Ball Material and does not qualify the entire body. Request traceable body, trim and PTFE seal records, then assess medium compatibility and duty together. Include selected mechanism, manual controls, exact size, flange drawing, certificates and full operating envelope with the enquiry.
