Pipe Class150
This ASME B16.9 SCH 40 Class 150 carbon-steel welding-cap enquiry includes a DN15–3000 title range. The actual product choices identify Cap. Confirm the requested DN and supplied component; the broad title range does not establish continuous availability or numerical operating capability.
Confirm the requested DN before matching pipework
Two actual variants are Cap/Carbon Steel/10 mm and Cap/Carbon Steel/12 mm. Explain their nominal or measured roles and relationship to the required DN. Obtain an availability statement and approved dimensions rather than treating these labels as proof of the entire title range.
Identify the applicable B16.9 document and edition. Specify material designation, grade, condition and traceable inspection records. Agree size-specific wall/end thickness and tolerances for SCH 40 requirements; neither schedule nor Carbon Steel naming supplies a certified thickness, grade or pressure rating.
Define the delivered closure and painted finish
The reference views show a red-toned dome and darker cup/domed caps with markings. They cannot certify black coating or delivered dimensions. Define body profile, depth, outside/inside end dimensions, thickness, roundness and tolerances. Confirm Round/Hexagon interpretation through the actual drawing.
The separate 0.25-inch mounting-hole entry cannot establish bore or an opening in the closure. Approve any opening explicitly. Specify the finish actually supplied, including preparation, coating system, internal/external coverage, weld-end exclusions and measurable inspection criteria; color cannot prove chemistry or protection performance.
Agree welding and documented operating acceptance
Set end preparation and joint requirements against connected pipe material, wall and dimensions. Obtain the actual production route behind Other wording. Class 150 needs governing material-temperature evidence and actual medium, pressure, temperature, cycling and loads. Agree closure-specific duty, installation, inspection, marking/traceability, confirmed availability and applicable quotation terms.
