This ASME B16.9 ASTM A234 WPB equal pipe tee enquiry concerns a branch connection whose three ports must match the selected piping arrangement. Specify the run and branch sizes together, then confirm actual material, supplied ends and inspection requirements for the selected tee.
Three matching ports on the selected drawing
An equal tee enquiry needs matching nominal run and branch sizes with defined outside diameters. The selectable 10, 12, 14, 50 and 30 mm labels require a clear size-system mapping; a single label does not describe all three ends. Obtain port diameters, walls, centre-to-end dimensions and tolerances on the accepted drawing.
Overall Length 4 in, height 4 without a unit, and mounting-hole diameter 0.25 in need dimensional clarification. They should not be used as substitutes for nominal pipe size or the selected branch layout.
WPB material and actual joining details
Stainless Steel and Carbon Steel are separate selections. Request the exact material specification, grade and heat-traceable certificate; WPB must not qualify the stainless option. Confirm applicable ASME B16.9 and ASTM A234 editions and the selected manufacturing acceptance records. Casting requires production evidence rather than assumed conformity.
For threaded supply, establish the complete NPT designation, gender at each port, engagement and mating requirements. If welded ends are required, obtain the selected preparation and wall-matching drawing. The standard wording and gallery alone do not establish which interface will be supplied.
Class 125 and project operating conditions
Pipe Class 125 and Low Pressure do not establish a numerical working limit. Assess actual material, wall, medium, temperature and governing design requirements for petrochemical, shipbuilding, construction or power service. Define the Painting system and exposure criteria; Flexible does not establish movement capacity. Include all three sizes, selected grade, actual ends, coating and duty with the enquiry.
