This industrial equipment listing focuses on an A105 carbon steel blind flange with ASME B16.5 and API references. A Carbon Steel and Blind Flange combination is available among the broader catalog options. Select that configuration explicitly and confirm its actual grade and closure specification before purchase.
Define the blind closure and mating joint
Provide the required nominal size, pressure class, flange facing and equipment drawing. Confirm the blind thickness, bolt circle, hole count and hole diameter together with the gasket and bolting requirements. The half-inch hole and four-hole table entries are not a universal drilling pattern for every option.
The catalog range is 1/2–120 inches across multiple materials and nine flange type labels. Confirm availability of the selected blind flange and distinguish it from orifice, spectacle blind and connection flange options. A shared size range does not establish equivalent closure geometry or a common class rating.
Verify the A105 and standard references
Obtain the material specification, applicable edition, actual grade, condition and traceability supporting the A105 title designation. Request production information and required material or dimensional inspections. The generic Carbon Steel option alone does not verify conformity of the supplied component.
Check the applicable ASME B16.5 scope and edition for the selected design, size and material. API appears without a numbered standard or certificate scope, so ask which actual requirement or document it refers to. Do not treat the title labels as complete product certification.
Agree equipment duty and supply acceptance
State the fluid, pressure, temperature, cycles and loads relevant to the intended closure. Review the blind flange, gasket and bolting design against the equipment requirements. Clarify the finish criterion beyond Polished, then confirm marking, inspection documents, preservation, quantity and delivery. The listing gives no numerical allowable envelope or universal leak-tightness guarantee.
