An equal butt-weld tee request needs a complete description of three pipe interfaces. Stainless Steel and Carbon Steel are separate choices for this product, so a stainless WP304 requirement should remain attached to the intended material and tee configuration.
Define the two run ends and the branch together
Provide the nominal size and actual pipe dimensions at both run ends and at the branch. Confirm the equal-size arrangement on one tee drawing rather than assuming a single selector label defines all three connections. Include the center-to-end dimensions and any layout restrictions around the branch. The drawing should locate the tee within the pipe route and make each mating interface unambiguous.
Specify the preparation at every butt-weld interface
State the required connection form, wall thickness and end preparation for each pipe connection. If any thread or female-end requirement is intended, identify it separately and obtain confirmation for the requested configuration. A general connection label cannot replace the preparation needed at all three butt-weld ends. Keep those details with the tee geometry so the proposed fitting can be reviewed against the actual pipes entering the joint.
Confirm WP304 and the applicable tee standard
For a stainless A403 WP304 requirement, identify the material specification and grade explicitly and request confirmation for the selected tee. State any ASME B16.9 requirement with the applicable edition and dimensional scope. The Carbon Steel choice needs its own grade specification and should not inherit the stainless requirement. Include the medium, design conditions and documentation needed to assess the same tee arrangement before a pressure capability or exact standard match is accepted.
