This ASME/ANSI B16.9 carbon steel concentric reducer enquiry provides a starting point for a specified pipe transition. Stainless steel alternatives are also selectable. Confirm the actual reducing dimensions and end arrangement before using the selected item to connect two pipes.
Two-end sizing and concentric arrangement
Identify the large and small nominal pipe sizes, outside diameters, required wall thickness and overall length. Each selectable label—10 mm, 12 mm, 14 mm, 50 mm or 30 mm—needs a complete two-end dimensional map. Confirm an unequal size pair and the required concentric centreline arrangement on the selected drawing; a generic Equal entry does not qualify reducing geometry.
The listed length of 4.8 inches, height of 8 without a unit and mounting-hole value of 0.25 inches need a documented relationship to that item. Gallery transition examples do not establish measured end sizes or the exact geometry of every selection.
Reducer joining and material requirements
Specify the actual end preparation independently. A welded request requires confirmed bevels, wall match and joining requirements; a threaded request requires a complete thread designation and engagement details. The Female and NPT entries do not identify a fully qualified selected connection. Obtain the exact carbon steel or stainless steel grade and traceability, together with the required B16.9 specification edition and applicable conformity records.
Forged and Painting entries need item-specific confirmation. Class 150 and High Pressure wording do not establish a fixed working pressure. Underground, UV, chemical and corrosion resistance require evidence for the actual material, finish and operating environment.
Preparing the reducer procurement drawing
Provide both pipe interfaces, wall requirements, connection detail, material grade and required inspection documents. Include operating medium, pressure, temperature and installation exposure. Assess the proposed reducer against these requirements rather than treating listed application industries as proof of suitability.
