This WPB carbon steel 90-degree long-radius elbow is listed with SCH80, butt-weld and B16.9 references for construction use. Its size option spans a half-inch to 12 inches. Select the actual nominal size and confirm the complete material and dimensional specification before ordering.
Define the SCH80 wall and long-radius bend drawing
Specify the sizing convention, actual radius, wall thickness and tolerances for the chosen 90-degree elbow. Verify the SCH80 dimensions against the selected size and matching pipe. Schedule wording does not supply a pressure limit or a finished inspection record.
The table repeats the size range for length, height and hole diameter. Obtain the corresponding individual measurements on an approved drawing. Clarify what the Hexagon head code refers to without substituting it for the bend geometry or assuming an additional connection.
Confirm WPB, forged manufacture and butt-weld ends
Request the full material designation and condition, governing material document and edition, certificates and traceability. WPB alone does not define the complete procurement package. Identify the B16.9 document and conformity scope applying to the component, and obtain evidence of the forged route; seamless construction is not stated.
Resolve the butt-weld title against the NPT table entry using an end-by-end schedule. Agree preparation, any applicable full thread designation, mating interfaces, sealing and examination. Define measurable smooth-surface acceptance and suitable delivery protection.
Relate construction conditions to selected acceptance
Record the intended medium and composition, operating pressure and temperature, cycles, external exposure and mechanical loads. Low Pressure and Not Rated leave the selected elbow without numerical duty confirmation. Evaluate corrosion resistance for that environment and obtain the material, joint and rating evidence. Include dimensional examination and testing requirements in the final approved supply documents.
