This ANSI B16.9 carbon steel 45-degree welding elbow listing provides a gas-project enquiry context. Its sole actual variant agrees on Elbow and Carbon Steel, with a shared half-inch-to12-inch size label. Specify the individual component and gas duty before treating the catalogue references as accepted installation requirements.
Set the forty-five-degree route and actual bend radius
Obtain a selected drawing with nominal size, angle and tolerance, centerline radius, center-to-end dimensions, bore, outside diameter and wall. No LR designation or wall schedule is recorded. Confirm the actual bend envelope and mating pipe arrangement rather than adding an unlisted radius class.
The common range does not prove availability at every size. Confirm individual supply and allocate the repeated length/height entries to measured drawing values. Clarify Hexagon, mounting-hole and NPT fields without assuming threaded or bolted features on the Welding connection.
Define carbon steel and welding inspection records
Identify the B16.9 edition and applicable dimensional requirements. Carbon Steel is a generic actual material label; request the full material document, grade, condition, traceability and accepted certificates. The title does not supply WPB or another complete grade designation.
Obtain evidence for FORGED and identify the body manufacturing route independently from welding attachment. Agree end preparation, mating pipe fit, alignment, welding procedure and inspection. Specify smooth-finish criteria and evidence for corrosion resistance under the actual medium instead of assuming universal protection.
Confirm acceptance for the actual gas connection
State gas composition, pressure, temperature, cycling, external loads and compatibility. Low Pressure is qualitative and Not Rated leaves numerical duty unestablished. Obtain fitting/joint approval with relevant leak/installation inspection criteria, then agree material/manufacturing/dimensional documents, marking, confirmed size supply, quotation scope and three-year warranty/OEM terms.
