This carbon steel elbow is listed with STD, LR and butt-welding wording, together with an A234 WPB material reference. The selectable size is a broad 1/2 inch to 12 inch range. Confirm the ordered geometry and supply documents before using these labels as a complete specification.
Identify the STD and long-radius dimensional basis
Provide a drawing stating nominal size, bend angle, actual radius, wall thickness and tolerances. STD and LR need allocation to the governing dimensional document and selected size. No angle is supplied, and the STD label should not be converted into an assumed schedule or numerical wall.
The table repeats the size range under overall length, height and mounting hole. Clarify those fields and define actual dimensions, installation clearance and availability for the order. Identify the intended role of B16.5 in the original title and the applicable elbow specification without assuming certification.
Match WPB supply records to the connection schedule
Confirm the complete selected material designation, condition, governing edition, heat traceability and certificates. Verify the forging and production records for the actual component. A title reference is insufficient to establish that every selected supply meets the required material and inspection package.
Allocate Butt-welding, Welding and NPT to real interfaces. Specify weld preparation, any thread designation, mating components, sealing and examination requirements. Obtain a clear end schedule rather than treating the listed connection terms as alternatives that fit interchangeably.
Define finish and construction service acceptance
Agree measurable smooth surface criteria and protection for delivery. Corrosion resistance needs evidence for the actual medium and environment. State numerical pressure, temperature, cycling and loads; the qualitative pressure/class entries do not approve those conditions. Include the resolved drawing, standards, material, production, interface, finish and testing requirements in the quotation.
